ONLY
10 CONTESTANTS REMAIN
IN MUSIC REALITY SHOW "NUEVAS VOCES DE AMERICA"
Miami, FL – April
6, 2005 – After an intense seven-week competition, only ten
contestants remain in music reality show "Nuevas Voces de
America" (New Voices of America). This Sunday, April 10 the
competition will be fierce, as finalists do everything they
can to stay in the show. "Nuevas Voces de America" airs every
Sunday at 8 p.m. (7/c) on Telemundo.
The 10 remaining

This Sunday, April
10 at 8PM (7pm/c), Cesar and Gerardo, who received the lowest
scores in the previous episode, will find out who the viewers
voted for to stay in the show. But before any one of them
leaves, they will fulfill their wish of perform a duet featuring
a powerful rendition of Mexican Regional music. The rest of
the participants will then sing in front of Judges Monica
Noguera, co-host of Telemundo's afternoon variety show "Cotorreando",
Emilio Regueira and David Naranjo.
Last week Fabian,
Karina, Gio and Oscar learned to write and arrange an original
song, which they performed in front of the judges. Viewers
also got to see the physical transformation that Carmen, Cesar,
Gerardo and Karina have undergone since joining the show.
"Raulito," who picketed outside of Telemundo for three consecutive
days for a chance to be on the show, was finally awarded his
15 minutes of fame. There were also some emotional moments
when Fabian received a phone call from his mother who is currently
in Cuba, and Carmen's family and friends sent her their best
wishes from New York. Finally, the viewer's vote was revealed:
Crystal was eliminated and Zuri remained in the competition.
