BURBANK, Calif. -- April 4, 2005 -- NBC Universal has promoted Jennifer Skorlich to Senior Vice President, NBC Universal Cable Publicity and Late Night Publicity for NBC, it was announced today by Rebecca Marks, Executive Vice President, NBC Universal Television Publicity and Jeff Gaspin, President, NBC Universal Cable Entertainment & Cross Network Strategy.

"Jennifer has embraced her increase in responsibilities this past year with amazing skill and savvy," said Gaspin, to whom Skorlich will report as well as to Marks. "Since the merger, she has played a major part in managing our successful campaign to integrate the new cable channels under the NBC Universal umbrella."

"Jennifer has guided our ambitious publicity agenda for NBC Universal's diverse cable entities," said Marks. "Her insight, work ethic and management style have earned her praise from within the company and outside as well."

Skorlich ? who previously had been Vice President, NBC Universal Cable Publicity and Late Night Publicity for NBC since July 2004 ? will continue to be in charge of overseeing all of the company's cable entertainment publicity.

As Vice President, NBC Universal Cable Entertainment Publicity, Skorlich's role was expanded to include responsibility for supervising all corporate and program publicity for Bravo, USA Network, SCI FI Channel and TRIO. She integrated the new publicity teams and continued to manage press relations for NBC's late-night programs.

Prior to this position, Skorlich was Vice President, Bravo Publicity; Alternative Series and Late Night Publicity for NBC Entertainment, where she was assigned duties in NBC's alternative programs and late-night areas.

In the past two years, Skorlich successfully managed, among others, Bravo's campaign for the network's high-profile new original series ? "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" -- that generated unprecedented publicity and awareness. She was also a guiding force during the integration of Bravo into the NBC corporate family.

In addition, until Spring 2004, Skorlich managed publicity activities for NBC's alternative/reality series including the most recent accomplishments "The Apprentice" with Donald Trump, and both "Average Joe" series. Skorlich also oversaw publicity on "Fear Factor," television's second-longest running reality show, and popular summer series such as "The Restaurant," "For Love or Money," "Meet My Folks," "Last Comic Standing," and "Who Wants to Marry My Dad," among others.

Skorlich also manages a team of publicists on both coasts with responsibility for promoting all the network's No. 1-rated late-night programming lineup, including "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Saturday Night Live," and "Last Call with Carson Daly."

Earlier, Skorlich had been Vice President, NBC Publicity, Non-Primetime Programming, Longform, Specials, and Alternative Programs, from December 2002-February 2003. In this role, she was responsible for NBC's publicity campaigns for specials including the high-profile, company-wide "75th Anniversary" celebration for NBC in May of 2002.

Other specials under her watch include "Jennifer Lopez in Concert" and "Cher: The Farewell Tour," among others. In addition, she oversaw publicity for NBC on such longform movies as "Martha, Inc.: The Story of Martha Stewart," "Behind the Camera: Three's Company," as well as for the annual "Golden Globes Awards" and other awards and parade telecasts.

From November 1995-December 2002, Skorlich served as Director of Non-Primetime Programs, where she oversaw daytime programming publicity efforts and launched two of the networks soap operas "Sunset Beach" and current hit daytime program "Passions." She also managed the publicity campaigns on "Days of Our Lives," while overseeing the network's Saturday morning teen programming lineup TNBC.

Skorlich was a Senior Press Manager, Late Night and Specials, from 1993-95. She began at NBC in 1992 as a Press Manager, Late Night and Corporate Information, and was the publicist for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" for seven years. She started her career in television at KPIX in San Francisco and also worked at KCAL in Los Angeles before joining NBC.

Skorlich graduated from Santa Clara University with a bachelor of science degree in political science. She and her husband Mark reside in Santa Monica, California.
