THIS SUNDAY VIEWERS SELECT THE THREE FINALISTS OF TELEMUNDO’S "NUEVAS VOCES DE AMERICA"

Miami, May 4, 2005 – On the next episode of Telemundo's "Nuevas Voces de America" three participants will face the possibility of elimination, after being judged by guest Maria Celeste Arraras and judges David Naranjo and Emilio Regueira. This Sunday, May 8, viewers' voting, via phone and text messages, will determine who will be the three participants who will head to the finale. In addition, the remaining contestants will serenade their mothers, in a tribute to Mother's Day. "Nuevas Voces de America" airs every Sunday at 8PM (7pm/c) on Telemundo.

At the top of the show, viewers will find out if it will be Vanessa Del Fierro (San Antonio, TX) or Oscar Rivera (Ponce, Puerto Rico) who will leave the competition. It will be the sixth time the Puerto Rican native, Oscar Rivera, faces possible elimination.

During the previous episode, the audience saved Oscar one more time, while Karina Vazquez, from Loma Linda, California, was eliminated. Contestants got a taste of what it feels like to be a real star as they attended the Billboard Latin Music Awards, produced and broadcast on Telemundo. As part of their professional training, they had the opportunity to walk the red carpet side by side with top Latin music celebrities and present one of the coveted awards during the live broadcast of the show. They also spent time with top music stars Soraya, Juan Luis Guerra, Alek Syntek and Thalía, during their rehearsals for the star-studded event.
